The National Fragile X Foundation is saddened to learn of the death of Jarrod Tutko Jr., an 8-year-old boy from Harrisburg, Penn., who was living with Fragile X syndrome. The Fragile X community mourns the loss of one of our own. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Although this is a tragic loss, we would like to share with the public this is an isolated incident and not reflective or representative of the vast majority of families living with Fragile X who daily navigate the challenges of this genetic condition.

We encourage those who are impacted by Fragile X to contact us at the NFXF or your local . Our community stands together to make sure every child living with Fragile X syndrome continues to be successful at school and at home. We provide support and education to families through a vast amount of resources, materials and contacts. We are proud to say most individuals with Fragile X syndrome successfully attend school and live as productive members of their local communities.
