Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and for most people that means spending time with family while enjoying great meals, good times, and a big helping of gratitude.
Then comes Black Friday, the day when stores nationwide have blowout sales and people line up around the block for the best deals.
After that is Cyber Monday, in which people do it all over again, except this time through online stores.
But have you heard of #GivingTuesday? It is the giving season’s opening day, with the emphasis not on consuming but on giving, and you can help make it a success for the National Fragile X Foundation!
#Giving Tuesday happens this year on November 27, when charities, families, businesses and individuals across the country will come together to transform the way people think, talk about and participate in the giving season.
It’s a simple idea. Find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to join in acts of giving. Tell everyone you can about what you are doing and why it matters. Do your part in a national celebration to honor our great tradition of generosity!
The National Fragile X Foundation (NFXF) is proud to be a partner of #GivingTuesday, and we are pleased to have it help launch our 2012 Annual Fund campaign. On this national day of giving, we hope you’ll spread the word that the NFXF would be a fine recipient of people’s generous donations this season.
We will be reaching out to you on #GivingTuesday as part of our Annual Fund campaign, asking you to share with your friends and colleagues our new video presentations on our website. These brief but powerful videos tell the stories of real people impacted by Fragile X.
As always, we hope for this Annual Fund campaign to be our most successful ever, so that we can continue to provide the support, education, advocacy and research funding so crucial to the Fragile X community.
Please ask as many people as possible to join you in giving to the National Fragile X Foundation on #GivingTuesday. Let’s get our Annual Fund effort off to a roaring start!
