Zac is an amazing 13 year old who can do anything he sets his mind to. He loves so unconditionally it’s amazing. He was diagnosed when he was a little over 3 years old after I was diagnosed with FXPOI. Soon after that my father was diagnosed with FXTAS.

My husband is a ferrier (horse shoer) and he does an amazing job with Zac. He has taught him how to ride horses and he is teaching him to shoe. We still Zac has awesome social skills
because of him getting out
in the community
have a while to go, but he will learn it. Zac has awesome social skills because of him getting out in the community with his Pop shoeing horses. Everybody loves him! Zac goes on trail rides, jumps ditches, and climbs hills. There is nowhere he won’t go on a horse. He does a lot better than I do. He told his Pop one day that they were just going to have to teach me.

Zac has great imitation skills and he is a great entertainer. He comes up with the funniest things. He is just a joy to be around.

Zac has taught me many things in his 13 years – more than I could ever teach him. His determination is something we could all learn from.
