The National Fragile X Foundation is pleased to announce that we will be honoring Margaret and Martin Israel as the recipients of the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award. An award presentation and celebration will be held in their hometown of St. Louis, Missouri on November 4th.

For over 37 years, Margaret and Martin Israel have been an integral part of the Fragile X community, inspiring and mentoring families from across the globe by sharing with us all of their wisdom, experience, and their journey with Sam. Their dedication has changed the lives of many, empowering them to educate, advocate, and make a difference for all families living with Fragile X.

The impact of the Israels in the Fragile X community is one that will be felt for generations to come. As founders of the Fragile X Resource Center of Missouri, they have brought tremendous awareness and support for families in the St. Louis area while assisting the NFXF in supporting families nationwide. They are familiar faces, not only at events in St. Louis but in the entire Fragile X community, when Fragile X families come together sharing their knowledge with all who cross their path.

As we come together in admiration of Margaret and Martin Israel for their dedication to Fragile X and to celebrate the tremendous impact they have had on others, we encourage you to make a donation in their honor to help build on the foundation they have laid.
