Friday, November 2 | 9AM–3PM
Saturday, November 3 | 9AM–3PM
Fragile X experts Mouse and Tracy will be sharing their expertise with families and professionals to help attendees better support individuals with Fragile X syndrome. This is a unique opportunity to soak up their years of experience and walk away with tools and strategies you can immediately implement and make an improvement in the life of your client, student, patient, or loved one with Fragile X.
The focus of the event will be on ways to help manage anxiety and hyperarousal in individuals with Fragile X across all environments. This two-day event will build the participant’s knowledge and understanding of hyperarousal and the strategies Mouse and Tracy use, and how to apply them. While it is most beneficial to attend both days, if circumstances do not allow attendance both days, please register for one.
The Friday, November 2, session will focus on understanding Fragile X syndrome, including an introduction to the phenotypical learning style and an in-depth understanding of hyperarousal and anxiety in Fragile X syndrome. This will be followed with strategies for use in home, school, and work settings.
The Saturday, November 3, session will focus on the FxMax, a helpful planning tool for home, school, and work. This session will include a breakout session where participants will work through the FxMax in small groups.
Coffee and refreshments will be available during registration at 8:30 a.m.
Attendees should park on the upper level of the North/South parking garage.
Box lunch purchases need to be made by October 25, 2018. Please plan on bringing a lunch if registering after this date, or contact the organizers for more information.
