Peer-Reviewed Medical Research Program’s FY25 Funding Opportunities for Researchers

00 h 34 m

Dr. Argue shares information reviewing the details of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, specifically the Peer-Reviewed Medical Research Program. Thanks to the efforts of NFXF advocates, Fragile X, which includes all FMR1-associated conditions and disorders, is once again included as an eligible topic area for FY 2025.

About the Webinar

Dr. Argue shared information and tips for applying for DOD’s PRMRP funding, including programmatic details and deadlines to support researchers throughout the application process, and answered questions from attendees.

Key takeaways and top tips from Dr. Argue include:

  • Align your proposal with the program-specific goals.
  • Review the FY25 PRMRP Synopsis of Award Mechanisms Table.
  • Fragile X sits in the Rare Diseases and Conditions Portfolio.
  • Read the funding opportunity announcement carefully.
  • Review the specific Strategic Goals for FY 25 (found in the funding opportunity announcement). Applications must address one strategic goal and one topic area.
  • Address military relevance and impact in your application.
  • Funding opportunities require a Letter of Intent (LOI) due June 9, 2025, at 5 PM ET (an invitation is unnecessary).
  • Applicants who conduct research at institutions worldwide are eligible to apply.
  • Sign up for the listserv through CDMRP or eBRAP
