A Good Run: Ian Weberʼs Story

Aaron Matas, a journalist and storyteller, worked with a photojournalist on a story about Ian Weber, who has Fragile X syndrome. He felt that Ianʼs relationship with the freshman football coach at Fairview High School in Boulder was a story that needed to be told. They spent a lot of time with the team and Ianʼs family to create this video.

This story aired as part of the Denver 9NEWS franchise “Storytellers.” It also won the Colorado Broadcasters Award for best news feature. It was originally posted to Vimeo on April 29, 2014.
