This workshop is designed for caregivers of individuals with FXS who are 10 or older who have not attained continence or bowel control and are seeking additional support to navigate how to support additional skill acquisition. The use of a toilet log and individualizing accommodations based on the neurobiology of FXS are included. Strategies to address improved positioning for toileting, creating predictable routines, fostering communication, and supporting toileting skills at points of regression are reviewed.

For more of the same for older children, read Toilet Training the Older Child (8+ Years Old).

Part 1 of this series is toilet training strategies for children 10 and younger.
