What makes Arlo Xtraordinary to you?

Arlo is 2 years old. Initially diagnosed with global development at 14 months and diagnosed with Fragile X at 20 months. He couldn’t get himself it sit position on his own until after his first birthday with the help of physical therapy. Now he is running, climbing stairs, and becoming more confident and brave daily. Arlo is Xtraordinary because he knows nothing but joy and safety in his surroundings. He shows me every day, how to just live and keep trying to do my best. You can see how proud he is when he does something new.

Special Facts

Arlo’s favorite food is pizza. He just started learning how to swim and is loving it. Arlo loves anything with wheels and a motor, especially the lawn tractor.

How has the NFXF helped you and/or your family?

NFXF has been a great resource and place of support as we begin this journey. There is so much to learn and so many insights that have helped me better understand Arlo and myself as a pre-mutation carrier.
