Hi Greater Chicago families! Let’s have a family day at the zoo. Saturday, November 13 is the start of the 40th annual Holiday Magic at Brookfield Zoo. We have purchased a tree for the National Fragile X Foundation so we can spread some awareness about Fragile X. Please make some ornaments at home that you can bring that day to add to our tree. You can bring your ornaments and we can meet to decorate the tree at 10:30 and spend the rest of the day enjoying the zoo.

You do not have to live in the Greater Chicago area to provide a decoration for the tree. Email for additional information. Download the guidelines for your decorations HERE.

If you are interested in joining, please review the Know Before You Go Information.

Please RSVP by email at if you are coming with the number in your party. I have 15 free tickets and 3 parking passes that I will draw 3 names to give away. Each winner will get 5 tickets and a parking pass. We are looking forward to this fun family event where we can also spread awareness for Fragile X!

Additional tickets can be purchased for those who are not selected for the complimentary passes.

  • $10 ticket per individual
  • $15 for a parking pass

RSVP at by October 25 to be eligible for the drawing or if you would like to purchase additional tickets or parking pass.
