Last night, Congress passed the RAISE Family Caregivers Act. The bill, introduced by Fragile X Caucus co-chair and parent, Rep. Gregg Harper, directs the Secretary of HHS to work with stakeholders from state and local governments to professionals to family caregivers to develop a strategy that recognizes and promotes the value of family-based caregiving and the diverse needs of the caregivers. It doesn’t authorize any new programs or funding and covers all adults.

This is another win for NFXF Advocates, who have advocated for passage of the RAISE Act over the years.
