Thank you to Jen Newsome of the NFXF’s Fragile X Association of Southern California. After an active role in the group, she took on a leadership role and has lead the group to provide many social, awareness and educational activities for the families in her local community. Recently, they held a successful 5K that brought together more than 175 people for a day of fun, food and fundraising! With matching donations, great food and wonderful sponsors they raised nearly $9500.
The NFXF has launched the X Strides walk program to help groups use runs/walks to raise awareness and funds for Fragile X. Contact Missy Zolecki at missy@fragilex.org if you are interested in hosting one.
